You’ll be working as part of Molson Coors, in-house creative team, Volt. At the program, apprentices meet for an orientation to introduce them to their supervisor. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will have weekly meetings with your supervisor to discuss performance, goals, and projects. To strengthen our motivated culture, you will receive a formal performance evaluation at the end of the program. There are also many opportunities to participate in other activities to learn, develop, and have some fun!This position was designed to give young creatives access and insights to advertising and design as it relates to our brands. As an apprentice, you will work with various brand teams and contribute to a project that you can use in your portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Apprentices should expect to devote a portion of their summer hours to one specific project.
- Work alongside a copywriter to concept brand ideas that come to life in social, digital, traditional and experiential
- Work in a social ‘newsroom’ to post and react on brands’ social media platforms
- Have design chops for the social and digital space
- Cooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media
- Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
- Upon the close of the summer, present your work to the creative team.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:
- Willingness to work hard and try new things
- Know and create on social, and digital platforms
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong illustration skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred (or similar)
- Managing art pipelines working to tight deadlines
- A thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing
- Ability to adapt your art style
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You must be 21 years of age or older when the apprenticeship
- Willingness to work hard and try new things
- Comfortable working within a team
- Familiarity with social media and digital platforms
- Openness to direction and feedback
